DIRECTIONS & TIPS FOR USING 3M SUPER 77 SPRAY ADHESIVE:

1. Spray 6 to 8-inches away from object at a 90-degree angle in both directions for full coverage.  Don’t spray too fast.
2. Once sprayed, let dry one minute or until [text missing here].

SPECIAL TIPS:  Shake can well before use.  Make sure nozzle is pointed at object to be adhered.

Thursday in class:

PRINTS:
Have work printed by Thursday if you can.
Can spray and glue and cut in class Thursday.
If you want final in show, can print and prepare Thursday, or later.

GEREN SHOW:
Must have work for UG VIZ Show by 9 am, Wed 5/2, to Me at Geren when we put up show.
No foamcore!  Can use previous print made earlier in semester.  Cut to size you want.
9 am W 5/2 Geren:  help hang work!

VILLAGE SHOW:
Must have work glued and cut for Village Cafe Show 
by Wed 5/2 in MacLab, or Th 5/3, after 3 pm, at the Village Cafe downtown Bryan. 
*Self portraits with an inch of black around image that you cut to correct size.
*Other work cut to size, glued to best size foamcore to fit it.
Then cut so there is no border: image and backing foamcore are same size.
Meet at MacLab at 2:30, Th 5/3, and collect all work!
Go directly to Village Cafe, & hang show after 3 pm.
 

FINAL WORK:
Can be due Thursday, last class, printed for shows
or
Can be submitted to me digitally
or
Can come in for shows on W 5/2 Geren, or Th 5/3 Village.  See above.
Can come in as late as Th May 10 digitally for grading.


PORTFOLIO OF ALL WORK:
Burn a DVD and slip under my office door by May 10 or much earlier!  Hand to me if I am there.
Put ALL WORK from the semester:  PSDs in layers.  Reports of 3 lectures and 2 Gnomon videos.
Need this for final grading.

Our 8 week internship is held in our Burbank, CA offices where students work one-on-one and in group settings under the watchful eyes of a DIsney Mentor. 

Main requirement:  students must be returning to school in the Fall 2012.  We have extended the deadline to April 30, 2012.

Howdy,

If you like your FINAL and want it considered for show:  PRINT IT.

Ask for BETTER PAPER when you print upstairs.

PROCESS:  Sign your name in PSD file.  Make PDF.  Print.  Thursday: Spray, Mount, Cut.
Put on Saslow external drive.  Hang following Wed 9 10 am, and Thursday 3 pm.  :-0

Evil Smurf - WIP

I've decided on a smurf for my famous cartoon. Instead of being tiny, as usual, he will be gigantic and terrorizing a city much like King Kong.

Eric's Idea

I'm thinking about doing a portrait of a 'B' list celebrity. Not sure which one yet.

Final Idea - Krista

Idea: I would like to find a well known character from a tv show or cartoon and paint them in a style that they've never been seen before like in the examples below.

Final Project idear

My idea is to make a movie poster wether it exists or not. So it can virge on the point of really crazy ridiculous or a tv show like party down.  My other idea is to work on this sketch i have of a bunch of people in a field with computer heads on. So I would further refine it and make it awesome blossom spectacular.

Final Project

Idea: I would like to create a portrait similar to the artist I linked above. I'm not sure if i will be doing a straight up digital painting (which will involve creating some interesting brushes like his pixel brushes), or perhaps integrate the project with one from my other class (which will involve creating a digital bust of the character, compositing, and painting over it.)

Print Lab open 11:30 to 2:00 Tuesday.

Tyler writes:

I will post a note on the door indicating my cell number where a student can reach me.
It will only be a matter of taking a minute or two to meet them there and print.

Re:  Printing poster:  I've emailed the students who man the shop and asked if someone can be there Tuesday morning... but I don't know if they can.   (The Tuesday am slot was crossed off on the door....)

Make sure audience has a clue what you are doing.  Labels help.
